Terms of Service

Last updated October 2026

These terms explain how The Menu Ticket works and what we each agree to. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

The service

The Menu Ticket helps independent restaurants track pantry costs, menu margins, sales and a monthly profit and loss. We provide it as an online service. Features may change or be added over time.

Your account

Each person signs in with their email and a private PIN. Keep your PIN to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your login and for the people you add to your restaurant's account and the access you give them.

Tell us right away if you think someone else has your PIN.

Plans and payment

The Starter plan costs $79 per month, billed monthly in advance through Stripe. An optional one-time setup service is available for $250, in which we help enter your pantry and menu and walk you through the service on a call.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card or bank details. If a payment fails we will let you know and give you the chance to update your payment method; we do not delete your data because of a failed payment.

You can ask to cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

Your data

The menus, invoices, sales, costs and other information you put into the service remain yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you. You can ask us for a copy of your data or to delete it.

If you connect a point-of-sale account such as Square, we read your completed orders and basic business profile to bring in your item sales. We do not change anything in your point-of-sale account, and you can disconnect it at any time.

What the numbers are and aren't

The service works out costs, margins and profit from the information you and your connected systems provide. If that information is incomplete or out of date, the results will be too. The numbers are a management tool, not accounting, tax or legal advice.

Acceptable use

Use the service only for your own restaurant business and only in lawful ways. Do not try to break into other accounts, overload the service, or copy or resell it.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update these terms; when we make a meaningful change we will tell account owners before it takes effect.

Limits of our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is, and our responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
